Abstract

This article is devoted to the dynamics of morbidity and mortality from 2014 to 2018 from TB among the general population and among patients with HIV infection in the Kyrgyz Republic. The number of HIV-infected patients with tuberculosis, the proportion of patients at risk of TB infection among HIV-infected patients and the general population, the percentage of HIV-infected patients who received tuberculosis chemoprophylaxis was determined using national case records, state registers, data from departmental statistical reporting materials, data from TB and state statistical services, as well as materials from countries' regular reporting to WHO and UNAIDS. The authors of the article also used information from open sources: publications and databases of international organizations, program and internal documentation of relevant institutions. The authors point to the influence of risk factors for the development of tuberculosis in patients with HIV infection, as well as the effect of ART among patients with HIV infection and HIV/TB on the incidence of tuberculosis.
