Abstract

The article provides an ethical and legal analysis of the implementation of the principle of respect for person in medicine in the Kyrgyz Republic. The focus is on Article 153 of the Law "On the Protection of Health of Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic" from January 12, 2024. The impact of this article on the attitude of health professionals towards patients, as well as its bioethical and legal aspects are considered. The study analyzes the legal basis for recognizing human health as the highest value, protecting patients' rights, complying with international standards of medical ethics, as well as practical problems. The obligations of health professionals, the principles of respect for patient autonomy and the specifics of the concept of "respect" in Kyrgyz culture are discussed. In conclusion, the need to strengthen legal mechanisms, improve medical education programs, and increase the responsibility of health professionals for the effective implementation of this principle is noted.
